How Watch and Win works
Buy Yes or No on what happens next in Nigeria. A share costs ₦1 to ₦99 and pays ₦100 if you are right. You trade with other people, not against Watch and Win.
Three steps
-
Pick a question
Every market is a question with a clear end and a public source, such as “Naira weaker than ₦1,400/$ on 31 Dec?”. The rules on each market say exactly how it is decided.
-
Buy Yes or No
Prices are chances. A price of ₦34 means the market thinks there is about a 34% chance of Yes. You choose how much to spend and see what you get before you buy.
-
Get ₦100 per share if you are right
When the result is known, each winning share pays ₦100 into your Watch and Win balance. Losing shares pay nothing. You can withdraw to your bank at any time.
An example with real numbers
You think the naira will be weaker than ₦1,400/$ on 31 Dec. Yes costs ₦34 and you want to spend ₦1,000.
- You want to spend
- ₦1,000
- Price per Yes share
- ₦34
- Shares you get
- 28
- Cost (28 × ₦34)
- ₦952
- Fee (2%, rounded up)
- ₦20
- You pay
- ₦972
- You get if right
- ₦2,800
YesIf the answer is Yes
You get ₦2,800, a profit of ₦1,828 on the ₦972 you paid.
NoIf the answer is No
You get ₦0 and lose the ₦972 you paid. Never more than that.
The fee is 2% of the cost, rounded up to the next naira; selling and payouts are free. See Fees.
Why 28 shares and not 29? 29 shares would cost ₦986 plus a ₦20 fee, which is more than ₦1,000. Watch and Win sells whole shares only, so the ₦28 left over stays in your balance.
Open this marketSelling before the result
You do not have to wait. Any time before a market closes you can sell your shares to other traders at the current price. Selling is free.
- Price rises to ₦37: you get
- ₦1,036 +₦64
- Price falls to ₦25: you get
- ₦700 −₦272
Based on the 28 shares above, which cost you ₦972. What you get depends on the buyers in the order book at that moment. You always see the exact amount before you confirm.

Every market names its source, its closing time and when it pays, in the Rules on the market page. When the source publishes the result, we check it and settle the market. Winning shares pay ₦100 each; most markets pay within 24 hours of the result.
