Fees

Buying shares costs 2%. Card deposits and withdrawals have small fees that cover what banks charge us. Everything else is free, and every fee is shown before you pay.

Fees are not final yet

These fees are placeholders until our licence and payment partners are confirmed. If they change, we tell you 30 days before, and every screen shows the fee before you confirm.

Tax on winnings in Lagos State

Lagos State charges 5% withholding tax on net winnings: what a market pays you minus what you paid for those shares. We take it off when the market pays out and pass it to the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS). It counts as a tax credit for you, and your statement shows it.

Questions about fees

Why is Yes ₦34 and No ₦67?
Prices come from traders, not from Watch and Win. Yes and No together cost about ₦101: the ₦1 is the gap between the best buyer and the best seller. It goes to the trader on the other side, not to us.
Do I get the fee back if a market is cancelled?
Yes. When a market is cancelled under its rules, we refund what you paid for the shares and the fee.
What does the fee pay for?
